So when did I get started in photography and computers?
Well now let me see: The photography side of things all started at the age of 10, I was on my summer holidays, my father always let me take our holiday snaps and that was me hooked for life
I fell in love with the art of photography big time, and I started playing around with the old point and shoot camera, Black and White 35mm, no digital back in them days it was my father's camera but he let me use it sometimes if I was a good
All my pocket money was spent on rolls of film and back then pocket money did not go far; remember I was only a 10 year old school boy and that was over 40 years ago. At the age of 15 and still at school, I could not believe my luck, when the new photography club opened and anyone could join, it meant stopping on after school had finished for the day
So I joined the club and started to play around with the processing of 35mm film, using the old developer tank and chemicals like developer fixer and stopper to turn the film into negatives, my father was great he paid the club fees for me, and on my 16th birthday I had my first camera a 35mm Zenith E there was no stopping me now
When I finished school and started working, that meant I now had some money of my own, so at the age of 18 it was now time to invest some cash into my photography, I turned my bedroom into a darkroom and made black shutter boards for the windows I was given 2 old kitchen base units and some worktop, one half of my bedroom had a bed wardrobe and chest.
The other half of my bedroom was now the darkroom, my room was 12ft x 10ft in total and for the first time my father was not very happy with me, well after all it was my room. It took me around 18 months to set everything up, most of the stuff was purchased second hand and it was great fun I would recommend anyone who loves photography to try this out
Black and White Photography is an Art and people are now converting some of their colour images into black and white its like going back in time, It was 1995 when I started learning about computers I didn't know it back then but this was going to be one of the best things I've ever done in my life
Now its 2011 and I'm 52 and everything is so different it's all digital and the processing is done on a computer in some ways its better you can do so much more with digital images
What are my Qualifications?
At present I am a student working in a BA (hons) Undergraduate Programme for my degree in photography.
My Qualifications are as follows
Diploma: in Dreamweaver 4 and Fireworks 4, web applications, website design and animation construction
Diploma: level 2 In Behaviour and Mental Psychology
Diplomas: level 1 & level 2 In Anger Management

I have done one or two weddings in my time and people keep asking me, but wedding photography can be hard going at times, I am so lucky to have a lovely understanding partner; she is also my assistant on photo shoots when we have, Children or family portrait bookings
These days I mainly specialise in pet, and general photography, so those special moments in life can be captured and kept for ever, you can see some examples below, The two dogs in a Wash Tub, Mother with her Baby and the Children in a Leaf, or you can visit the galleries
